1 year photo shoot

Adam played my lovely assistant on Saturday so I could do Emi's 1 year photo shoot. I forgot how hard 1 year olds can be to shoot. All she wanted to do was crawl everywhere and for the most part she wanted nothing to do with her hat or the picture frame I brought. I thought it was going to be a disaster but we ended up getting some pretty great shots. I can't get over how cute she is and the fact that she's turning 1 on Friday. Where has the time gone? She is turning into such a big girl but I love it. She is the most fun ever right now and she makes me happy every day!

I took some pictures of little Sophie today. She was such an angel. Other than how long it took us to get her to sleep! I can't believe how small she still is. These pictures just don't really show how tiny she is but she is wearing a 0-3 month size hat and there is a huge chunk clipped in the back to make it look like it fits!! She is so sweet.

cutest girls

Aren't these just the cutest girls you've ever seen? I had fun shooting pictures of them last week. Poor Kylee...it was FREEZING the day we did hers. I shot her pictures in seriously 2 minutes. I did Emi's the next day and it was a lot warmer so we had a little more time to play around.

Oh, and an update on this little chick...she had her 9 month appointment on Tuesday and here are her stats:
*length...26 inches...7 percentile*
*weight...14 pounds 14.5 ounces...2 percentile*
*head...43.2 centimeters...26 percentile*

Still a little peanut but her head is growing (and even her hair a little bit too)! She is learning so much every day. She can stand by herself without holding on to anything for about 30 seconds and even starts to try and take steps. She is a ways away from walking though. She is getting better at crawling, but it is still more of a scoot/army crawl. She LOVES to eat, even though you can't tell by looking at her. She loves all food (except peas) and wants to eat anything anyone else has. She smiles at everyone and is lots of fun!

Dear Emi,

Today is your first Thanksgiving. I can think of so many things in my life to be thankful for, but this year and today you are number one. You are 9 months old today and cuter than ever. The 9 months I waited to meet you seemed like forever, and the 9 months I've known you have passed at full speed. You are my angel baby and I am so thankful to have you in my life. Even more, I am so thankful to be your mother. I don't know what I ever did to deserve the opportunity to take care of you, raise you, and teach you in this life, but it is an amazing blessing. You have taught me so much in 9 months about love, patience, selflessness and just about myself. You have helped me to realize that I can do hard things even when I don't have a clue what I'm doing. You have helped me realize that you truly come to love those you serve with a fierceness that can't be easily matched. You have opened my heart and showed me a different kind of love I never knew existed. Thank you for being patient with me as I fumble and learn my way around this new job of mine. I hope you know that I will do anything for you and I hope as you get bigger you will understand even a tiny bit how much I love you. Thank you for being my sweet baby girl. I love you so much!

I love having a little doll to dress up and take pictures of. I took these this afternoon and I was going to save them and call them her 9 month pictures on the 26th but I'm going to Wyoming for a week on Thursday so I'm sure I'll end up taking more. Plus, I just couldn't wait to post these. I think she looks so cute. I love my Emi.

family pictures for heather

About a month ago I took some family pictures for my good friend Heather. She had been wanting to get some pictures taken and she has bailed me out a lot of times and watched Emi on days I have to go to work. So we swapped some babysitting for a photo session. I haven't done any family pictures since this time last year, so it was fun for me. I took them to this cool bridge I found up Ogden Canyon. They looked great and their little guy is such a cutie. I think their pictures turned out pretty well. Heather loved them, and I guess that's what counts!

look who's one

I took Kylee's one year pictures today and a famliy picture for Michelle and Derek. Kylee has gotten too smart and too quick for my poses though so I had to get creative. They turned out cute though-- she is such a little ham!

something to do on a rainy day

We needed something to do between conference sessions and it was raining. Good thing Kylee humors me every time I get an itch to do something like this...

s* kids photos

Today I took pictures of the S* kids. The girl is 2 and is adorable. The little guy is 4 months and couldn't quite figure out what we were all doing, but we got some cute ones of him too. It was so fun to get to know the family and I can't wait to shoot them again maybe in a few months!

4 days of hammonds and lots of pictures

We had 4 days of fun visiting Adam's family in Wyoming last weekend. His cousin Linda was visiting from New York and our friends Kevin and Jackie came too. We all had a blast hanging out, off-roading on the mountain, playing with the kids and eating cream slush after cream slush from Sonic.


Friday before we went to Wyoming Adam's mom and sister Michelle (and of course baby Kylee) came to town to pick up Linda from the airport. I was off work so we all went shopping. It was such a fun girls day! I got this cute dress too!

After Adam got off work we headed to Wyoming. We didn't get there until late so we didn't do much that night.

Saturday Marc took us up the mountain and we hit all the big mud holes. It was so fun splashing through them in his big truck. It literally covered the entire truck, I should have taken a picture.
I took pictures of Kylee that day and they turned out so cute! She is such a little cutie and the best model ever! Here are a few of our favorites:

Sunday after church we hit the mountain again. We went to this awesome waterfall and had fun off-roading again and then we went to the park and played on a zip line.





That night we went back up on the mountain at sunset to try to find some wild horses to show Linda. We had to drive around awhile to find them but we finally found a few.

I hope my mom doesn't read this...I may be 27 but I have a feeling she'd still have something to say about that!
