confessions of a 90s ballad belter-outer

Sometimes Emi and I stay late over at my mom's while Adam's at school. We get tired of sitting at home all day and need some interaction with other people. When we drive home in the dark, lots of times I turn the radio to either love songs after dark or Delilah. I know, I know...cheese, cheese, cheese. And I belt the songs out like its karaoke night...and I love it. The songs are so much better at night too. But really, there is something comforting about singing those songs at the top of my lungs. It takes me back to when I was in junior high and me and my mom and sisters used to decide not to clean the house on a Saturday but to go shopping in Salt Lake all day instead. And then on the way home at 9:00 we would decide we didn't want to go home yet. So we'd go to 7-11 and get Sprites and Cheetos and drive around some more past cute boys houses or just houses we thought were cool until finally we would be tired and go home. We had so much fun just us girls. And we would all belt out all the songs the whole time. I love those days. So yes, I am a huge nerd a few nights a week, but hey, Emi is usually asleep by then and no one really has to hear me!

Belting one out at the top of your lungs while driving at night is PURE HEAVEN! Its the best therapy ever :)
The Eccles girls were always so fun! I remember having a few sleepovers at your house. Tell your sisters and mom I say hello.
