Guess what? Prime rib is beef....like a steak. I always thought it was the same thing as a rack of ribs that you pick up and gnaw off of. Gross. I guess I thought it was sometimes called "prime rib" because it was maybe better than just regular ribs, like more tender or flavorful or something. But I had some at a dinner we went to on Saturday night--delicious!
