album of the week

Ingrid Michaelson- Girls and Boys

For some reason I associate albums and songs with seasons. I used to have a playlist on my ipod for every season of each year starting in like, summer 2005 until my ipod got sick and I had to restore the factory settings (it was a sad day). Since then I have never replaced the playlists, but certain albums and songs still remind me of say, fall 2005, summer 2006 (and whatever was going on in my life at that particular time), and so on. I think this album is going to be the perfect thing to take me into spring 2008. This is the album of the week because I am ready to be taken into spring and I am going to see Ingrid Michaelson in concert on Thursday. I'm really excited. I think it will be a really cool show. She's co-headlining with Joshua Radin, so I'm hoping she'll get to sing a lot of songs (although I do like him too). I have a feeling she's going to sound just as great live as she does on her album. I'm not too familiar with all the songs, but I hope after this week I will be. So far my favorite is masochist and then starting now. I will let you know if my favorites change after the show!

I really like her song "Take me the way I am" (you know, the Old Navy commercial). Great song.
